Pricing

Free for everything a household needs.

No credit card, no trial countdown, no feature paywall on the things that matter — budgeting, Zakat, and Canadian registered accounts. A paid tier is planned for deeper modelling, but it's additive, not a gate.

How Yusr is funded

Yusr is free today, and we pay the running costs ourselves. Your data is never sold or shared for marketing.

A paid Premium plan is planned, billed monthly or yearly with a discount for paying yearly. Prices will be announced at launch. Everything in the free plan stays free.

A plan that pays for itself

Yusr is built to be paid for by the people who use it, through a Premium plan, not by advertising. That keeps the product focused on your numbers.

Your data isn't the product

Nothing you enter is sold or shared with advertisers.

Free isn't a trial

Everything on the Free plan today stays free — it's not a 7 or 34-day countdown like most budgeting apps run. Premium, when it launches, adds to it rather than replacing it.

No surprises. This is how the switch to paid will work.

    2. Before launch

We announce the prices on this page. Premium will be billed monthly or yearly, with a discount for paying yearly.

Why pay for a personal finance app?

A fair question, since Yusr is free today. Here is our honest answer.

    • Someone has to pay for the work

Building and running a finance app costs real money. A paid plan keeps Yusr going without advertising.

    • Your data is not the product

Nothing you enter is sold or shared for marketing. Yusr is meant to be paid for by the people who use it.

    • Canadian rules need upkeep

Registered accounts, CRA dates and tax rates change, and they have to be checked again each year. That ongoing work is what a plan pays for.

    • Free stays free, and you choose

What is free today stays free. We announce prices before Premium launches, so you decide with the full picture.

    How Yusr compares

Real numbers, checked against each app's own pricing page

YNAB, Monarch Money and Goodbudget are the three apps most often recommended alongside Yusr for Canadians. Here's what each one actually offers, verified as of August 2026 — not a claim we're making about them.

Scroll sideways to see all four apps →

Prices and features checked directly against each app's own pricing and help-center pages as of August 2026. Mint (Intuit) is not included since it was fully discontinued in March 2024. "No evidence found" means a direct search of that company's own site and help center turned up nothing, not that we tested every account internally — features can change, so double-check directly with each provider before deciding.

    Questions

    Before you try it

    Is Free really free forever?

Yes, for everything listed on the Free plan above. There's no countdown and no feature that quietly moves behind a paywall later — the account types and Zakat tracking available today stay on the Free plan.

What will Premium cost, and when?

We don't have prices or a launch date yet. Premium will be billed monthly or yearly, with a discount if you pay yearly. We will announce the prices before it launches, and everything in Free stays free.

Do you need a credit card to use it?

No. The Free plan doesn't ask for payment details at all.
